Paraiso’s Miami Swim Week: Swimwear Trends that Dominated the Runway

Top and emerging designers showcased their best swimwear and resort looks

Miami swim week featured over 70 designers of swimwear on models that celebrated diversity and inclusivity. Swim week was a mixture of swim, resort and ready-to-wear fashion. While the itsy-bitsy teenie-weenie bikini populated the runway- full briefs and one-pieces were equally as popular.

Animal Instinct

We are wild for animal prints. While there were many prints to walk down the runway , zebra was, by far, a designer favorite.

Retro, layered allover prints in the form of postage stamps, 70’s graphics and micro florals were winning looks in our eyes. When planning for your summer holiday looks- don't be afraid to layer complimentary prints.

Cut it out

Carefree cut-outs merge the gap between bikini and full piece. If you're looking for coverage but are still wanting to opt for something a bit cheeky- this is the way to go.

Oh so Retro

Channeling 80’s Barbie, the retro trend emerged in many different forms- from Cupshe’s neoprene sports barbie to Pretty Little Thing’s poolside barbie, bold prints and fabrications were a popular choice.

Citrus Burst

Citrus hues make us long for tropical holidays filled with days on the beach, sun-kissed skin and starry nights. While the standard citrus colours applied, neons snuck in here and there.
