Heath Nash x Our Workshop
Heath Nash started making products using post-consumer plastic waste in 2004 - a globally acclaimed range of lamps called Other People's Rubbish. Since then, realising the dire need for creative spaces for people living in townships, he founded Our Workshop in 2016 . Our Workshop is a nonprofit organisation dedicated to allowing young emerging black designers from Langa access to the wider creative industries in Cape Town. Its a free-to-use space with free-to-use tools, free wifi and all manner of 'waste' materials.
Our Workshop Projects is a sister company to the NPO that sells products and services in order to support the socially driven work we do in Langa township.
The product available on Plain Tiger is manufactured by Our Workshop Projects, providing an income to members of Our Workshop.
