We’re Sheba Feminine, a small, black and woman-owned brand! We’re proudly South African, and are revolutionising the way people experience menstruation. Introduced in 2017, we found that as people that have periods, we need vital health information as well as the confidence to dismantle the culture of silence surrounding menstruation and other bodily changes. We do this by being a space where our community can access reproductive and sexual health education, with products that they can trust.
Sheba started in 2017, as a reaction towards commercial menstrual care products containing tons of harsh chemicals and plastic. These products are not only harmful to people that menstruate, but to the environment as well.
We use 11 000 – 16 000 feminine hygiene products in our lifetime and they end up in landfills. Our organic cotton and biodegradable feminine hygiene product range ensures that we are living sustainably and responsibly.
