SEVDA LONDON
As a Londoner and a British designer, Sevda combines elegant, classy, and timeless “Designed in London” fashion-forward creativity with truly “Made in Italy” products, using only the highest quality with traditional hand crafted techniques, along with bespoke hardware for her leather handbags made with solid brass with a touch of gold, in Italy.
Born in Bursa, Turkey, a city synonymous with a rich history in textiles craftsmanship, Sevda developed an appreciation for the county’s rich cultural history and handcraft. Encouraged by her mother to pursue her dreams of becoming a designer, Sevda mastered fashion studies at the Mimar Sinan Faculty of Fine Arts Textile and Fashion Design in Istanbul.
After working as a designer for several leather brands in Istanbul, Sevda relocated to London in 2005 to hone her craft and completed a variety of courses at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. There she began to shape her philosophy and real plans for her business.
When she couldn’t find the right handbag to take her from day to evening, she knew it was the perfect motivation for her to create her eponymous label SEVDA LONDON, which was launched in 2013 in London. Since then, her products have been featured in high-end publications such as Vogue, Elle, L’Official, Harper’s Bazaar and many more.

We have fully committed to sourcing only “deforestation-free leather”. In fact, our leather is ethically sourced from our partner tannery in Italy, gold-rated by The Leather Working Group, offering traceability of the European skins and assurances the leather hasn’t contributed to deforestation.
