VANILLA, A PRECIOUS INGREDIENT

The pollination of vanilla occurs naturally in Central America by the Meliponous bee. In the absence of a sufficiently effective insect pollinator outside Mexico, pollination is carried out by human hands, flower by flower.

The flowering period lasts two to three months during which the growers have to pollinate the flowers daily. Eight to nine months after fertilization, the pod is ready to be harvested. The harvested pods are green and fragrance free. To reveal the vanilla aroma, the pods will undergo a traditional treatment. The whole process lasts almost ten months, to finally obtain the vanilla stick. The lengthy process of growing vanilla, coupled with the multiplicity of human steps, explains why its cost per kilo is so high.

How to use:  Place a few drops of the oil in your hand and apply to the face, previously cleansed and dry, to the body or hair.

Pure Vanilla from Madagascar: Vanilla has softening and nourishing properties. It contains polyketones which promote hydration and healing of the skin.

Organic plum oil:  Rich in antioxidant vitamin E, it helps fight skin aging.

Organic sweet almond oil: Soothing and softening. Rich in oleic acid (omega-9), it will nourish dry and sensitive skin.

Organic hazelnut oil: Regulates excess sebum and penetrates quickly into the skin. It has a non-greasy finish and is therefore perfect for combination to oily skin.

Sunflower oil: Rich in linoleic acid (omega-6). It is a component of ceramides that plays a major role in preventing dehydration.

Vitamin E: Preserves vegetable oils and fight against free radicals responsible for aging of the skin.
