Hand-picked from the Mediterranean seabed, local divers, licenced to ethically fish, cut the fina silk sea sponge at the base. As a renewable natural resource, this traditional approach leaves the roots of the sponge intact and assures their health and re-growth.

Sea sponges are able to regenerate, so when they’re disturbed by divers swimming along the seabed, small fragments release cells and multiply. The areas fished for sponges have a larger population than areas that are not, and as a result, are marine protected environments.

APPLICATION

No two sponges are the same ~ when you first hold la lune sur l’eau you’ll feel its natural structure is firm, but under running water, becomes super-soft and silky. Perfect for cleansing, the fina silk sea sponge absorbs more water than a synthetic sponge, delivering a comforting and luxurious cleansing experience for your skin.

To use, apply your cleanser of choice and soak la lune sur l’eau in water, squeeze out any excess and gently massage your face and neck in circular motions. Repeat the process to rinse the cleanser away, revealing a clear and clean complexion in preparation for la potion infinie.

You’ll notice the fina silk sea sponge absorbs and holds as much or as little water as you’d like, and this offers perfect control when cleansing and rinsing.

CARE

To care for and extend the natural life of your fina silk sea sponge, rinse it with warm water after every use. Once clean, gently squeeze (don’t twist) out any excess water and leave to dry naturally. 

If you feel your fina silk sea sponge needs a little extra care and attention, you can soak it in a cup of warm water mixed with one tablespoon of baking soda ~ this will help to clean la lune sur l’eau and preserve its natural structure. Remember to rinse, squeeze gently and dry naturally.
